Life story

Could you introduce yourself in a few words?

VALÉRIE ESPINASSE. I’m from Auvergne! I’m empathetic, hypersensitive and gentle, yet still frank, even direct. What I value are loyalty, respect and kindness.

Is there a turning point in your life that made you the woman you are today?

V.E. When I became a mother.

What is your greatest pride?

V.E. My children.

What is a typical day like for you?

V.E. When I get up, I have some herbal tea and take a shower, then the day can start!
At the office, I’m in consultation or teleconsultation from 9 a.m. to 8 or 9 p.m., with a lunch break that’s often quite short, then a workout 2 to 3 times a week around 7 or 8 p.m.

What is your current project?

V.E. I’m consulting on formulating a line of food supplements for a new brand dedicated to women and menopause.

A leitmotif/mantra in life?

V.E. To be and act in ways that are consistent with my values and beliefs.

Beauty and well-being

How did you build your relationship with beauty/well-being?

V.E. Over the years, it has become simpler through better knowing myself, but also has improved by becoming more routine.

How do you take care of yourself today?

V.E. My routine includes scrubs, skin and hair masks every week, as well as LED at home.

What are your me-time moments?

V.E. 1 Kobido facial each month and 1 body massage regularly.

What advice would you give for people to feel good about themselves?

V.E. Eat healthy!

What’s your daily beauty habit for well-being?

V.E. Every morning and evening, I take my micronutrition regimen.

The beauty of the future in 3 words for you?

V.E. The option of using LED or other devices at home, depending on our needs and where we are in life.

Routines and skin care

What’s your relationship with your skin?

V.E. I never put anything harsh on my skin, so I’m careful about cosmetic products I use.

Has that changed over time?

V.E. Even though I’ve always had dry skin, it has evolved to have more specific needs for firming and preserving the facial contour.

What is your daily routine?

V.E. In the morning: after my shower, I spray on thermal spring water, then apply serum, eye contour and cream: I never forget the neck or the neckline. Then light makeup – I never go without mascara and lipstick.

Any beauty tips you wish you had known when you were younger?

V.E. Less is more!

Your must-haves: The product(s) you would take to a desert island?

V.E. Prickly pear oil and thermal spring water spray.

What are your favourite myBlend products?

V.E. I adore the WRINKLES superserum, which instantly smooths my skin, and I love falling asleep wearing the NOURISHING MASK for soft skin when I wake up.
