– Taking photo-sensitising products: taking retinoids, or other photo-sensitising drugs, is a contraindication to any photo-therapeutic treatment (list of photo-sensitising products can be found at the end of the treatment protocol book). In addition, perfumes, essential oils, etc. should also be avoided. If in doubt, consult a dermatologist or specialist.
– Anti-inflammatory treatment: reduces the benefits of LED therapy.
– Cancer patients: the use of phototherapy on cancer patients is at the discretion of medical specialists.
